PGD Nurse Coordinator

Ms. Dempsey is originally from Hopkinsville, Kentucky, joining NFC in July of 2005.  She received a BA from Centre College in 1998, then graduated with Honors in the spring of 2002, earning her BSN from The Catholic University of America.  During nursing school, she worked at a free-standing birth center in various roles, culminating in a position as a birth assistant after graduation.  At the same time, she worked as a labor and delivery nurse in an underserved area of Maryland for almost 2 years.  These experiences led to her fascination with reproduction and fertility.  

Ms. Dempsey joined Shady Grove Fertility Center in Maryland in December of 2003 as an IVF Coordinator where she coordinated hundreds of IVF cycles for a very diverse patient population.  Since joining NFC as an IVF nurse, Ms. Dempsey has assisted with the implementation of NFC's new Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) program and taken on the role as PGD Nurse Coordinator.  She is enthusiastic about the science of infertility, and eager to help couples achieve their goal to become parents.
