Kelli Millett, R.N.C., M.S.N., In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Nurse Coordinator Ms. Millett is a board-certified nurse
practitioner in Obstetrics and Gynecology who has worked in the
field of infertility since 1992. Since joining the Nashville
Fertility Center (NFC) in October of 1995, she has served as IVF
nurse coordinator. In this capacity, she has coordinated patient
care in hundreds of in vitro fertilization cycles as well as the
more complicated cycles of donor egg IVF and gestational surrogacy.
At NFC, she has played an integral part in the establishment of a
state-of-the art anonymous egg donation program.
Ms. Millett received her master's degree in nursing from the
University of Pennsylvania and her bachelor's degree in nursing, as
well as a degree in behavioral science, at Nazareth College in
Kalamazoo, Michigan. She also holds a bachelor's degree in biology
from Albion College in Albion, Michigan.
Ms. Millett has worked as a nurse practitioner in Obstetrics
and Gynecology since 1985, first at Henry Ford Hospital, Fairland
Center, in Dearborn, Michigan, and then at the District Health
Department in Charlevoix, Michigan. After moving to the Nashville
area, she served as the research coordinator for the Center for
Reproductive Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. In
this position she was an intermediary between pharmaceutical
companies, doctors and patients, ensuring that research protocols
were administered in a safe and effective way. As a coordinator at
NFC, Ms. Millett has discovered the key to being an excellent IVF
nurse. Her sensitivity to the emotional needs of patients while
maintaining patient satisfaction and confidentiality have made her
an indispensable asset to our program.
