Susan Shasteen, R.N.C., M.S.N.
In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Nurse Coordinator
Ms. Shasteen is a board-certified nurse practitioner in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Before joining Nashville Fertility Center in August of 1999, she worked as a nurse practitioner in a busy Obstetrics and Gynecology office in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Ms. Shasteen received a Bachelor of Science degree from Vanderbilt University in 1996. She then completed the Women's Health Nurse Practitioner Program at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing, where she received a Masters degree in the Science of Nursing. While in school she was awarded the Kathleen S. Nelson Scholarship for Nursing and was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She is currently a member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Reproductive Health and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.
Ms. Shasteen has a special interest in the promotion of women's health and assisted reproductive techniques. Her knowledge of IVF is integral in guiding patients through the IVF process. Her caring manner as well as her expertise have made her an essential part of our program at NFC.
