Wendy Vick, R.N.C., M.S.N., W.H.N.P. In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Nurse
Ms. Vick is a board-certified nurse
practitioner in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Before joining Nashville Fertility
Center in April of 2002,
she worked as a public health nurse for Metropolitan Davidson County Health Department. She worked in the
Early Periodic Screening Detection & Treatment and family planning programs in this position. She
gained vast experience in patient teaching in this role, which she uses to prepare patients for the
IVF process.
Ms. Vick received her undergraduate education from Volunteer State Community College and Cumberland
University in Lebanon, Tennessee. While at Cumberland University, she was awarded a Transfer Student
Academic Scholarship. She then completed the Women's Health Nurse Practitioner
(W.H.N.P.) Program at Vanderbilt
University School of Nursing, where she received her Master of Science in Nursing. While at Vanderbilt
University, she was awarded the Sumner Regional Medical Center Scholarship, the Professional Nurse
Traineeship Grant, and the Lettie Pate-Whitehead Scholarship.
Ms. Vick currently serves as the coordinator of our Donor Embryo Program at Nashville Fertility Center.
This is a program in which couples may anonymously donate embryos to another couple. She also has
a special interest in the promotion of infertility awareness. Her compassion as well as her knowledge
of IVF has made her an essential part of our program at NFC.
