Success Rates for Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART)
Nashville Fertility Center has consistently been one of the best ART programs in the country, and over 2500 babies have been born as a result of our IVF program.  Our results are reviewed by the Quality Assurance program at Nashville Fertility Center on a quarterly basis, and we have always reported our success rates to the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). We have maintained excellent pregnancy rates by staying on the forefront of clinical and laboratory improvements that are always taking place in ART.

The rates reported below consist of several parts. The first table shows our success rates published by SART and CDC for 2005 (the most recent year to be published)*.  The second table shows our success rates recently reported to SART and CDC for the year 2006.

*Please note:  Our center published its results under our previous name: Center for Assisted Reproduction and Reproductive Endocrinology in 1995 and 1996. In 1997, we changed our name to Nashville Fertility Center.

One must remember that it is extremely difficult to compare pregnancy rates between programs because so many variables determine whether a patient gets pregnant or not. Some of these factors include the age of the patient, the status of her ovarian function, her reason for infertility, and any factors that her partner might contribute. It is important to consider these factors as well as others in trying to determine an individual patient's chance for success. For more information about important factors to consider when assessing a center's success rates see:

Our physicians or IVF nurses would be happy to discuss these results with you in more detail should you decide to schedule a consultation with our office. We encourage you to look at other center's results. It is important to look at the percent of live births rather than the "pregnancy rate" since the latter may include biochemical pregnancies and miscarriages. Remember that multiple factors will determine any center's success rates.  A comparison of clinic success rates may not be meaningful because patient medical characteristics and treatment approaches may vary from clinic to clinic.
