Dr. Meghan Smith Offers Unexplained Infertility Treatment

Dr. Meghan Smith can use unexplained infertility treatment to help you welcome a baby

When you’re looking for answers, getting an unexplained infertility diagnosis can be incredibly frustrating. Meghan Smith MD understands, and she wants you to know that this diagnosis isn’t the end of the road.

According to our Tennessee infertility doctor, “Unexplained infertility treatment can help many women and men overcome their fertility struggles and become parents.”

Why does Dr. Smith enjoy helping patients with unexplained infertility?

Many people think that treating unexplained infertility would be too much of a challenge. However, our Tennessee infertility doctor views it as “interesting and rewarding.”

“I love helping patients who have an unexplained infertility diagnosis, especially women in the 35 to 42-year-old age group,” she explains. “It’s a combination of solving a puzzle and changing lives. I can’t think of anything better.”

She also believes that advances in unexplained infertility treatment give patients many reasons to be hopeful. “Doctors and scientists are doing so much research, so the field of reproductive medicine is always changing for the better. I strive to stay on top of the latest advances to improve my practice and my patients’ outcomes,” Dr. Smith says.

What does unexplained infertility treatment involve?

Every patient who visits Dr. Smith, even ones who have been seen at other practices, will undergo a complete diagnostic workup. “Getting the right diagnosis is so important because it helps me create a customized treatment plan for each patient,” she says.

In addition to the workup, Dr. Smith will ask some important questions before recommending unexplained infertility treatment. “I want to get a view of the patient’s family-building goals. For example, I’ll ask a patient how many children he or she would like to have. The plan I develop for someone who wants one child is very different from someone who wants to have three kids.”

Our Tennessee infertility doctor will also want to find out what types of treatments a patient is willing to try, and she’ll ask questions about his or her budget. “My goal is to develop an effective and customized treatment plan that respects a patient’s budget and family-building goals,” Dr. Smith says.
