Annette Kyzer MD offers compassion and experience for patients seeking fertility care
Dr. Kyzer is an obstetrics and gynecologist specialist who joined our Nashville Fertility Center team in early 2023 and brings with her 25 years of experience.
She is highly trained and well-equipped to help patients who struggle with infertility and serves to offer care and support as well as a trained eye to facilitate fertility evaluations, provide a well-informed diagnosis, and help achieve a patient’s individual family-building goals.
Annette Kyzer MD is a skilled physician and caring clinician
Dr. Kyzer has helped countless patients in her extensive career, having delivered more than 5,000 babies. She honed extensive experience in her 24 years spent in private practice caring for routine and high-risk pregnancies, as well as proficiency in gynecologic evaluations and surgeries. She has mastered providing thorough fertility consultations and developing carefully considered and customized treatment plans. She puts a focus on educating patients to make well-informed decisions about their fertility diagnosis and future treatment.
Dr. Kyzer has an impressive and well-rounded education. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in political science, economics, and French literature from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, graduating summa cum laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa honor society. She attended Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans for her medical degree, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and received the American Medical Women’s Association’s Janet Glasow Memorial Achievement Citation.
Continuing her curiosity and enthusiasm for women’s health, she chose Vanderbilt University Medical Center to complete her obstetrics and gynecology residency. Her leadership and talents were recognized as she served as chief administrative resident and was acknowledged with the best teaching resident award. Dr. Kyzer has been board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2001. She has been a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists since 1995 and is a member of the American Medical Association. She is involved in local and statewide organizations including the Tennessee Medical Association, the Nashville Academy of Medicine and the Tennessee Medical Women’s Association.
Dr. Kyzer is an East Tennessee native and is a first-generation American from Danish parents and speaks fluent Danish. She enjoys meeting patients from all cultures and backgrounds and loves getting to know individuals and couples and helping them realize their dreams of parenthood. The highlight of her workday is spending time with her patients. Her goal is helping couples and individuals with fertility struggles to identify the best options for that individual couple or person.
