Your Team of Board Certified Fertility Specialists
When you need a physician’s help to overcome infertility, it’s important to carefully evaluate all of your options and entrust your care to a specialist who is an expert in the field. When you select one of our board certified fertility specialists, you can feel confident that you’ve chosen the best.
The fertility specialists at our Tennessee fertility center are board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and our entire team of reproductive endocrinologists – George Hill, M.D., Glenn Weitzman, M.D., Abby Eblen, M.D., Kristin Van Heertum, M.D. and Meghan Smith M.D. – also maintain further certification through ABOG in the sub-specialty area of reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI). Achieving this high level of certification requires a minimum of 13 years of advanced medical training.
Why choose board certified fertility specialists?
To attain their REI sub-specialty board certification, all of our fertility specialists are required to pursue additional training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility through REI fellowships. Throughout these intensive, three-year fellowships, each physician focused their expertise on diagnosing and treating reproductive disorders and learning the best approaches to care for complex reproductive conditions.
After completing fellowship training, our physicians achieved certification by demonstrating their skills and passing a series of written and oral examinations proving mastery of the nuances of reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
This intensive, specialized training ensures that your board certified fertility specialists have the latest knowledge and skills to deliver effective care for infertility and many other reproductive conditions, such as polycystic ovary syndrome, menstrual issues, endometriosis, menopause, hormone disorders, sexual disorders and fibroids.
Our fertility specialists are the leading experts in assisted reproductive technology to treat infertility, including:
- In vitro fertilization, IVF
- Intrauterine insemination, IUI
- Fertility preservation, egg freezing and sperm freezing
- Genetic testing, PGS and PGD
A lifelong commitment to innovation
Our fertility specialists maintain continuous certification through a process of lifelong learning, assessment and examination. This ensures that our Tennessee fertility center keeps pace with current medical knowledge and continuously brings innovative treatment options to our patients.
